The Wire Haired Fox Terrier has a narrow, flat tapering skull and its ears fold forwards making a V shape flap. The Wire Haired Fox Terrier's eyes are usually keen and fiery in expression and their tail is generally docked to ¾ of its natural length. In addition, the breed's tail stands on top of the dog, rather than hanging out behind their body.
The Wire Haired Fox Terrier's coat is mainly white, can have black or ginger like spots and is of a Wire texture, requiring little grooming.
As a very fast dog with somewhat great power for its size, the Wire Haired Fox Terrier has fantastic endurance levels. They make for very good family pets and are very protective of all family members, in particular young children.
