These wonderful dogs are famous for their fast movements but also for their deep intelligence and thinking capacity which is, in the end, even more important than their incredible physical energy. Thanks to their intelligence, they are easily trained on Agility tests and will immediately respond to your commands and orders.
Whippets are somewhat free minded and training them on these competitions should always be done through firmness. They are eager to please their masters but due to their running passion, they may sometimes become a little distracted. You need to make sure that your Whippet is familiar with every section of the Agility test and spend the most time on the ones that present the most difficulties.
