The Visla, Vizla Breed?

Remeber, the right name for this breed is Vizsla, with "zs" and "V" and not Visla, Vizla, or Bizla

Ok, we will talk about this beatiful breed, the original place of the Vizsla can be found in Hungary at the very beginning of the 8th century. Tribes used them in these old times as hunting and retrieving dogs. They have overcome many attempts by other breeds to be over run, breeds such as the English Pointer or the German Pointers nearly end up with this wonderful breed around the end of the Second World War. Nevertheless, they have survived and they are still among u to be admired and preserved. 

They were to the USA around the 1950 s and they were warmly taken in. An American Vizsla Kennel Club was formed around the year 1960.

Their stylish appearance makes them one of a kind. They are smart looking and they can have different type of coats, either smooth or wired.

The height recognized as standard for the breed is 24 inches tall. As regards their weight males tend to be 63 lbs and females can be up to 55 lbs .

The Vizsla is even tempered dog. They are good by nature but they are also intelligent and smart. Their origin as hunters is still perceived in their personality . They become united to their owners almost instantly , and they are lively and energetic as they can possibly be.

For this same reason, it is important to bear in mind that Vizsla is meant to be trained rigorously.

The Vizsla also need interaction, so having a family around is god for them as well.

Something important to have in mind if you are planning on buying this breed of dog is that although they are medium sized dogs, their active, energetic nature makes them need to live in spacious places. They tend to go to their owners’ bed at night, so proper training in this aspect is also important.

Another characteristic to highlight is that the Vizsla is an excellent swimmer and they have no problem in rescuing a person if he or she is in danger.

As regards health, these dogs tend to suffer from epilepsy a big deal. There are projects around the world to study the behavior of this disease to come to a better way of solving the problem.
