The appearance and unique bearing of a dog like a Samoyed certainly provides it with an outstanding magic and magnificence. The origins of this breed take us back to ancient times in Siberia and other extremely cold regions of eastern Europe. The Samoyed was normally used as a wonderful and strong sled dog as well as a company dog. Accepted measurements for the Samoyed are 21 to 23 and a half inches tall and 45 to 65 pounds of weight. These are healthy dogs overall but have tendency to specific complications such as hip dysplasia and diabetes. If not properly controlled, their coat can also be a problem and cause skin complications. As you can imagine, the Samoyed needs to be provided with lots of exercise and activities to perform. They can do well in apartments but counting with a yard is always a better idea. They do not do well in hot weathers due to the thickness of their coats. Their life expectancy goes from twelve to fifteen years.
