It is hard to find such a marvelous and majestic dog breed as the Poodle. These dogs are not only beautiful and spectacular, but also really loving and affectionate towards their masters, which mean that they easily become the most amazing companions. Learning about the existing types of Poodles can never be a bad idea since it is usual to confuse all of them and consider them all the same. Poodle Sizes are diverse and if you want this breed to make your life fuller you definitely need to stop and read all about it.
Poodles can be found in three officially recognized Sizes The most popular of all Poodles is the Standard Poodle. This was the first one to ever be developed and its regular measurements are 15 inches of height or more while as for weight it goes from 45 to 70 pounds when males and from 45 to 60 pounds when females. The Miniature Poodle is a bit smaller, featuring 11 to 15 inches of height and 15 to 17 pounds of weight (quite smaller). Finally, the Toy Poodle only measures up to 10 inches of height and weights between 6 and 9 pounds.
There are also two unofficial AKC Poodle types: the Klein and the Teacup Poodle. While the Klein Poodle displays measurements somewhat similar to the Standard Poodle (15 to 20 inches of height and 20 to 30 pounds of weight), the Teacup Poodle is the smallest of all, measuring an average of 9 inches or less in terms of height and weighting under 6 pounds.
