The Pointer (or English Pointer) is always one of the most elegant, refined and outstanding hound dogs you can ever think of. They are considered to be really loyal and fantastic dogs but in order to enjoy them more it is always recommendable to learn about their most distinctive elements. The Pointer is easily recognized for showing a white colored coat that is combined with markings on liver or light brown tones. These markings can be placed through the entire dog coat surface and also around the face. Ears are usually of the same color as such markings and the same happens with the nose. The coat can also be tri-colored and this is permitted by most dog associations. Black, orange and other similar tones are available as well.
The eyes of the Pointer show a marvelous dark color which should contrast with the rest of the white body. According to the American Kennel Club, the eyes of the Pointer must be really dark in combination with the color of the markings and the darker the eyes are, the better.
