Labrador Retriever Hair Cuts
The Labrador Retriever has a wonderfully beautiful coat for which this breed of dog is most renowned for. Although they are a heavy, regular shedder, Labrador Retriever Hair Cuts are still recommended, especially throughout the summer months.
The primary reason why Labrador Retriever Hair Cuts are recommended is to aid with the healthy growth of their coat. As a double layered coat, it can become very thick and matted if not cared for properly. Whilst regular grooming of a Labrador Retriever's coat can help with this process, if a small amount of dirt becomes stuck within the under coat, it can become extremely difficult to remove, with a Labrador Retriever Hair cut becoming necessary.
The second main reason why a Labrador Retriever Hair cut may be required is to help with regulating a healthy body temperature, especially throughout the warmer, summer months. A Labrador Retriever's coat helps to reduce the risk of sun burn, but does not allow the dog to cool down effectively. Whilst the coat should not be shaved, a short trim will help to make the Labrador Retriever much more comfortable through warmer weather.
