Native from Hungary, the Kuvaszik dog is one of the most beautiful and incredible breeds you can find. Its Coat is one of the most distinctive elements and caring properly for it is truly important since it will have to do with its health and beauty. The Coat of the Kuvaszok is of medium length and normally available in white or cream tones. It covers the entire body of the animal and becomes especially abundant on the neck and on the tail. This abundant characteristic was originally meant to protect the animal from the cold weathers in which it was born.
Even though the Kuvaszok dog does not have truly long hair, it is really important for you to groom it regularly in order to prevent the formation of knots. Experts recommend to brush it daily with a soft comb that allows you to take the loose hair away and keep the overall Coat firm and strong. Then you also need to cut and trimm the Coat regularly (that is once or twice per month). Washing it is not entirely needed but once a month will do fine to maintain it clean and soft. Taking your Kuvaszok dog to the vet to perform these tasks is always recommended if you are not sure on how to proceed.
