The Agility competition consists of a number of tests in which your Jack Russell Terrier has to prove not only quickness of movement, but also and especially a strong bond with you in order to follow your orders and command perfectly well. Of course, the entire test must be done without giving your dog any treat or toy. The only contact permitted is through voices or signals. Eventually, leashes are permitted for beginners.
The Jack Russell Terrier Agility competitions can be divided into two major categories: novice and advanced. The first one is for dogs that never participated in any type of competition and that allows some actions that in advanced competitions could be seen as penalties.
