Great Danes Ears

There is no dog breed that can ever be compared to the majestic Great Dane. This amazing dog is well known for its impressive size and bearing but not everything in the Great Dane is size and this is why it is always important to learn about other stuff such as the Ears of this unique animal. The Great Dane Ears are normally cropped and reading about this will let you act carefully and properly when this matter comes along.

Naturally, the Great Dane displays long and pendant Ears. Although they are perfectly normal, we are used to seeing Great Danes with cropped Ears but regular pendant Ears can be accepted. These Ears are quite large and this is why sometimes people prefer to crop them.

As for the cropping procedure, it can be somewhat expensive since veterinarians perform it for around 250 to 300 dollars. However, it is a good investment and it is safer than making it any other way around. This procedure should be arranged for dogs between seven and ten weeks of age, not before or after. Of course, once the procedure is done, you will have to make sure that your Great Dane's Ears are clean everyday. They also need to be taped and you will have to replace this tape according to your dog's requirements.
