Golden Retrivers

Don't worry, about how you write Retrivers. We will talk about this wonderful dog breed. The Golden Retriever was breed in Britain during 1800´s. They are well proportioned dog, with medium-length, cream to golden-colored coat. This coat is double; the outer is water repellent, and weather resistant. The under one is dense.

The tail and legs are feathered with longer hair, but not curly. The head is broad and a clear frontal stop. Their nose is black, and the eyes brown. Ears are medium sized. Neck and thighs are muscular and the chest is broad.

Golden Retrivers oops! Golden Retrievers are intelligent and loyal dogs. They are good companions, and don´t like to be alone, if they are left alone for some time, they may become a little crazy and destructive. But this is just because they love to be with you.

They are very friendly with kids, and also with other dogs. This breed is not suited for protection of the house or any property, they are for company. They are unlikely to attack, but they make good watch dogs, and let you know when a stranger is approaching.

They like to swim also, so there is another thing to consider. Training work in this breed has shown that these dogs can be guide for the blind, deaf or other handicapped. Also they are good company for hospitalized children or for the elder.

This breed requires a lot of exercise, every day if possible, it´s very important not to over feed him, because they tend to put on weight. They enjoy playing with dog plush toys, dog balls, going to look stuff up and bringing it back. They are not so active indoors, they do better in large spaces.

Golden Retrivers, Ups! The Golden Retrievers requires daily brushing with affirm bristle brush. They should be dry shampooed regularly, bathe only if absolutely necessary.
