How To Care For A Golden Retriever Puppy

Ready to learn information around Golden Retriever Care? We are going to provide you orientation and sources around the Care of Golden Retriever dogs.

Looking after a Golden Retriever is an extremely pleasing task. Golden Retriever Care is fun and rewarding to the owner whilst being beneficial to the dog's health and well-being.

Due to the Golden Retriever's coat and their heavy shedding nature, a regular grooming regime must take place to ensure their coat stays in the highest condition. A fully body brush carried out every other day is sufficient in keeping shedding to a minimum and is paramount throughout their twice yearly period where they shed their coat completely. These times of year are often seen as the only major downfall to owning a Golden Retriever.

With the Golden Retriever being prone to obesity, daily exercise is required. Generally very active dogs, a daily walk is a fantastic way to ensure a Golden Retriever doesn't gain unnecessary weight. It must be noted that exercise is extremely important due to Golden Retriever's being prone to many health conditions which can be brought on by obesity.

To aid with the reduction in risk of health problems, a high quality diet should be fed to the Golden Retriever. Whilst a lot of owners feed their Golden Retriever a quality tinned dog food or high grade kibble, fresh meat and vegetables should always be provided for the Golden Retriever where possible.
