The German Shepherd is a large sized dog with natural measurements of around 24 to 26 inches tall and 75 to 85 pounds of weight. They feature a highly muscular body with strong and wide legs, strong feet and a muscular neck as well. The head is somewhat pointy when it reaches the muzzle and the ears are always carried erected in a V shape. The nose is dark and the eyes are rather small and dark as well. The tail is long and fully covered with abundant hair. As for the coat, it is really dense and abundant but also soft to the touch and shinny. It can be found in many different combinations of colors although black and tan is the most popular one.

These dogs are among the most loyal and devoted of all. A firm and loving training results into a respectful and obedient animal that is also affectionate and protective towards its family.
