For female Field Spaniels it is slightly smaller, averaging at 17 inches at the withers. As a relatively lean dog, their weight represents this and should be approximately 35 to 40 pounds for a female Field Spaniel, with male Field Spaniels weighing only slightly more.
It is crucial when owning a Field Spaniel to ensure that a well balanced diet is provided, as well as regular exercise. Providing both from a young age will help immensely with the Field Spaniel's Growth and reduce the risk of any health implications occurring at a later stage.
