If you are considering bringing home a Field Spaniel then you will want to learn as much as you can about them. This includes learning as much as possible about Field Spaniel Ears. They have long Ears which hang down and are surrounded by long fur.
Because of the way a Field Spaniels Ears hang, and all of the fur around them, they can be more prone to ear infections than most other breeds. You will want to watch for signs of an ear infection in your Field Spaniel. Some signs that your dog has an ear infection are; shaking of their head, walking with their head tilted to one side, scratching at their Ears, yelping for no apparent reason, or a foul odor coming from their Ears. If you notice your dog exhibiting any of this behavior, then you will want to take them to your veterinarian and have their Ears looked at for a possible ear infection.
You will also want to check your dog's Ears at least once a week for signs of mites or ticks. Keep your dogs Ears clean and remove the excess hair from inside of their Ears.
