The main reason why dog training for tiny breeds is so difficult is that they are often too intimidated by normal dog training methods.
For example, one of the main ways to train a dog is to take them to a class with around 10 other dogs. As these dogs all vary in size, stature, personality and nature, a tiny breed of dog could feel very threatened in an enclosed space with 10 other larger dogs and the same amount of humans. As this is the reason, training should be carried out in small classes with similar size dog breeds, or on a one-to-one basis, either from home or with a qualified instructor.
To aid with training from home without a dog training instructor, there are a variety of different materials available. However, as each individual has their own technique, as long as it is remembered to keep a loving but firm voice and have copious amounts of patience, the training should be very successful.
