Easily recognizable for its narrow, elegant and slim appearance, the Whippet is one of the best breeds in the hound group. These dogs usually display measurements such as 19 to 22 inches of height and 25 to 45 pounds of weight. The coat of the Whippet is short and dense although to an amateur eye it may look as if the dog was naked. This coat can be found in colors such as brindle, red, white, black and some other possible combinations. They also display a tucked in abdomen, small ears and a narrow muzzle.
