Australian Shepherd is a great family dog due to its loving, protective and affectionate temperament. It is great with children and also with other animals. It can become aggressive if not properly trained or if left alone for too long but it is usually pretty friendly and lovable. The Australian Shepherd is also known as the Aussie and it features a medium sized body, short legs and a somewhat pointy head with folded ears. The coat is abundant and of medium length, usually colored in a combination of white, black and tan tones. The merle color implies deafness or blindness. Due to their energetic attitude and their exercise needs, this dog is not recommended for apartments. More
