Aren’t they the most elegant and smart dogs of all? Don’t they look as if they were as intelligent as human beings?

Their appearance is one of a kind. They are well built, they are considered to be middle sized dogs and the ones with the most superior endurance. Their hair is short but packed in. The coat is white with the characteristic black spots all around. The most strange thing about his eyes is that they can be one blue and the other brown. This is because of genetic transmission, considered typical from the UK. His ears should be thin and set quite high.

Another interesting thing about this breed is that the puppies are born completely white, the spots tend to appear later on.

In ancient times, they were considered to be used as coach dogs, for this reason the breed tends to be really active and need a lot of exercise so as not to become overweight.

As playful and energetic as they are, these dogs love to go walking or any other type of exercise. Therefore, if it is possible a walk and a run through the park will be the most useful thing to do with them.

Due to their quite large size it may be a good idea not to let them play unsupervised when around small kids however. They make good companions, they are warm dogs, and if not taken care properly they may develop a depression.

Loyalty and intelligence are also among some of his most salient characteristics. As such they need constant stimuli so as not to become aggressive with the furniture at home.

They may turn a bit aggressive when faced with other males however. 

Their health is quite good, but some minor conditions may show up. Deafness is one of the most common problems this breed may suffer from. As it is hereditary there is not much to do when they start having this problem.
