If completed successfully and effectively, Dachshund Care can be a simple and enjoyable regular task. As a long, low dog, the Dachshund has short, powerful legs and a long tapering muzzle which feature a very strong jaws and almost razor-like teeth.
Very little grooming is required in respect of the Dachshund, with a brush of their coat every couple of days helping to keep it in perfect condition, whilst making the Dachshund feel much more comfortable.
Regular exercise is a key factor in caring for a Dachshund, as even though the Dachshund is a small dog, it still needs regular exercise to keep fit and healthy. Furthermore, a well balanced diet is recommended, ensuring that the Dachshund is not overfed. Together, the well balanced diet and regular exercise ensures that good health is maintained and that muscle and bone growth is as good as can be.
The Dachshund is a very loyal and loving breed of dog and makes for a fantastic family pet. Always requiring great deals of love and attention, the breed should never be left alone for long periods of time as they always like to feel safe and have a human companion alongside them.
