The Chinese Foo dog is an impressive creature that displays a square shaped body with short but strong legs and a somewhat pointy head that ends in a strong muzzle. The ears are small in comparison to the size of the head, V- shaped and always carried erected. The eyes of this dog are usually dark brown and almond shaped, featuring a really unique and emotional expression. The teeth lines are deep and strong and finally the neck is of medium length and muscular. The coat of the Chinese Foo is one of its most distinctive elements, being truly abundant, thick and weather resistant. It can be found in many different color combinations although brindle, light brown, black and gray are the most popular colors. It is also really soft to the touch.
The temperament of the Chinese Foo is deeply affectionate and loving. We are talking about a well natured dog with a gentle and noble attitude towards its masters. They are fabulous family pets since they love human company and can do great with children. They are quite active and any type of exercise will be a good idea to keep them healthy and calm. They should be trained and handled through a firm but loving leadership.
