A main Chinese Foo Dog Characteristic is the breed's size. There are three types of height classes when it comes to the Chinese Foo Dog, with the first being the toy breed. The toy Chinese Foo Dog measures in at less than 10 inches tall. The second breed is the miniature Chinese Foo Dog. These grow to between 10 to 15 inches in height, whilst the third and final Chinese Food Dog breed is the standard Chinese Food Dog, which measure in at over 15 inches in height at the withers.
The Chinese Foo Dogs are often working Dogs and can be strong and very independent, as well as sometimes being difficult to manage and can be domineering at times. The Chinese Foo Dog should be trained from a very young age, from obedience skills to helping with anger training.
Chinese Foo Dogs are not recommended for a first time pet of someone who is not confident with this size of Dog. They need regular exercise and grooming to keep their coat in perfect condition and can sometimes overrun their owners by not listening, causing chaos in many homes.
