The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a breed of dog that has a wonderful coat. Silky smooth and of a medium length, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels Shed their coat on a regular basis and will require a rigorous grooming regime to keep it in the best possible condition.
To ensure Cavalier King Charles Spaniel hair isn't found all over your home and twice-daily vacuuming doesn't become a regular occurrence, daily brushing is necessary. Using the appropriate brush, a simple 20 minute grooming session should suffice. Furthermore, a monthly bath at most is recommended, as bathing on a more frequent basis will not only damage the coat by removing necessary minerals, but can also cause serious skin irritation issues.
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are generally bred in four different coat colours - Blenheim, Tricolour, Black and Tan and Ruby. Their silky coat is one of the reasons why so many people fall in love with this breed and even though their shedding can seem somewhat incessant, it is a small hitch when compared to the amount of positive traits that come with owning a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
