Catahoula Bulldog Shed

Bred solely in the United States of America for many years for the sole purpose of working on ranches, the Catahoula Bulldog is a crossbred dog. Taking characteristics from both the Catahoula Leopard Dog and the American Bulldog, Catahoula Bulldog Shed is very minimal and an extremely desirable characteristic of the breed.

Known for their tight skin, Catahoula Bulldogs have an extremely short and beautifully smooth coat. In terms of shedding their coat, Catahoula Bulldogs are considered minor shedders. As with most dogs, Catahoula Bulldogs do Shed their coat, but it is of a very small amount and with regular grooming, can almost be considered non-existent.

To groom a Catahoula Bulldog effectively, a short, firm bristled brush should be used once a week to ensure any dirt or loose hair is removed from the coat. Furthermore, as the Catahoula Bulldogs do not in theory have an undercoat (however they are known to develop one in colder climates), there is no risk of hair becoming tangled or matted between the coats, making grooming even easier and less of a chore of laborious task.
