The Boston Terrier is a small breed of dog that has a short Boston Terrie Coat. There are some advantages and disadvantages to the dog having a short Coat and these should always be taken into consideration, especially the disadvantages.
The Boston Terrier's Coat is a colour of black with white markings across the body. There are many views towards the Coat in regards to shedding. A lot of owners agree that the Boston Terrier does not shed its Coat whilst other owners will disagree and say that they do indeed shed their Coat but it is not in mass amounts and is considered to be an average shedder.
A Boston Terrier will require some minor grooming but should not be over groomed because of the shortness. The grooming can simply consist of a quick daily brush or a wipe down with a damp cloth if dry mud or other liquids have dried onto the Coat. Many times the Boston Terrier Coat will be in good condition and no problems should arise.
In cold weather it is a good idea to keep a careful eye on the Boston Terrier. If the Boston Terrier looks cold, it is a good idea to buy a sweater for the dog to give it extra warmth in addition to its own Coat.
