Border Terrier Behavior

Like many small stature dogs, Border Terrier Behavior is that of equal measures of fearlessness and affection.

As Border Terriers were initially bred as vermin hunters, whilst they are affectionate to small animals they socialised with from an early age, they will not think twice about chasing smaller animals, such as cats or rabbits they are alien to.

Border Terriers make the perfect dog for busy families as although they enjoy regular exercise, they are more than happy to simply laze around all day. However, it must be noted that Border Terriers enjoy their owner's attention and do not like to be left alone for long periods of time.

Due to their calm and loving temperament, Border Terriers enjoy making their owner feel relaxed. This is a fantastic quality of the dog and the primary reason why so many Border Terriers are used as therapy dogs for people with health complications.

Every quality of a Border Terrier's Behavior makes it an ideal family dog. Caring and considerate, whilst protective of their owner and family, their Behavior is a sought after trait in many other dogs.
