The Belgian Tervueren is a great dog at Agility courses. Even though this breed of dog falls into the large dog breed category, this very rarely stops it from excelling in Agility. A lot of other large breeds of dogs sometimes struggle with the Agility competitions, but this is not the case for the Belgian Tervueren.
From an early age the Belgian Tervueren breed can be trained for Agility competitions. Many owners start from an early age to ensure the right obedience and fitness levels are reached and maintained. Most owners feed the Belgian Tervueren on a well balanced diet, as well as providing regular exercise. As the dog is such an energetic breed, they require excellent daily exercise.
Many people breed the Belgian Tervueren dogs for the purpose of Agility competitions. Throughout the Agility course there are many obstacles in which the Belgian Tervueren must jump over, walk over, as well as crawl through. The dog can succeed in these if taught well and is very popular with all parts of the Agility circuit, however the Belgian Tervueren is very good at jumping and this is its main attribute when it comes to the Agility course.
