Bedlington Colors

The Bedlington has a look all its own. Bedlington Colors come in a few varieties. The Bedlington can come in blue, liver, sandy, sandy and tan, blue and tan, and liver and tan. They can come in solid Colors, or with tan tips. The lighter color Bedlington's coat will lighten up as the dog ages, but they will not become white.

When you are considering purchasing a Bedlington you will want to keep in mind that the dark color the Bedlington has will lighten up significantly through adulthood, although not so much for the blue or blue and tan Bedlington puppies.

In the bi-colored Bedlingtons, the lighter markings will be on their chest, legs, right under their tail, inside their hind quarters and over their eyes. Choosing a Bedlington of a certain color is more personal preference than anything else. If you are planning on showing your Bedlington then you will want to learn all you can on what makes for perfect coloring in the breed. You may want to get some professional tips from someone with experience in the breed standard.
