A full grown Beagle will grow to be about 14 inches tall at the shoulders and it will weigh between 20 to 30 pounds. Your Beagle puppy will do the majority of its growing before it reaches 6 months of age. To maintain a good handle on your dog's weight and make sure that they maintain a healthy weight, you will want to stop feeding them puppy food when they are about 6 months of age.
Because puppy food is more fatty then adult dog food, it can cause your Beagle to keep gaining too much weight if you feed them puppy food past 6 months of age. A full grown Beagle should be kept on a diet of good foods and exercised regularly.
