Colors Of Basenji Dogs

Ready to pick up information in relation to Basenji Colors? We are going to provide you advice and resources around the Colors of Basenji dogs.

The Basenji Colors come in four main mixes, black and white, red and white, brindle and white, and tri colored. Almost all Basenjis usually have a white chest, a partially white muzzle, and some white on their legs or feet. The coloring patterns are generally about the same, although they do differ slightly. The coloring will be a little less or more on individual Basenji's, but the general placement of the pattern is usually standard.

A Basenji's color stays close to the color it was born with, you will not see much darkening or lightening take place as they mature into adulthood. Each Basenji can usually be recognized by looking at the exact shape and placement of that dog's Colors.

The tri colored Basenji will normally have a black back and black sides, brown near the bottom of its hind legs, on its cheeks and above each eye. The tri colored Basenji will have white in the normal areas, on its chest, muzzle, and legs. Most Basenjis also have a thin stripe that runs up the center of its forehead.
