One might think that due to the name American Hairless Terrier, that American Hairless Terrier Grooming needs are nonexistent. This is really not true at all. Although this breed requires much less Grooming than its furry cousins, they do still have Grooming needs which need to be met.
You will want to apply sun screen to your American Hairless Terrier when it is going to be in the sun to help protect its skin and prevent it from getting a sun burn. You will also want to bathe it regularly during the hotter months so that its sweat doesn't produce pimples.
Your American Hairless Terrier also requires its nails to be trimmed every couple of weeks. You should check your dog's eyes daily and keep them clean. Also, check their ears weekly to be sure that they are free from ticks, mites, and dirt. You should keep a sweater on your American Hairless Terrier if it is going to be exposed to chilly weather. It doesn't have all of that fur to keep it warm like other breeds do.
