Dog agility is a sport that will give your dog the amount of exercise and practice he needs to be fit and to remain healthy. By doing this he will gain experience in running, avoiding obstacles, jumping and he will be more alert as regards guardian purposes. You can take your dog to a personal trainer but you can also train him yourself. In doing so, you will save money, time, and you will spend a wonderful time with your dog. There are different parts and different pieces you can get to make the whole experience last longer. Here, we are going to see what the advantages of using chutes in this sport are. A chute is a piece of synthetic cloth that I use in this sport to play the part of a tunnel. You may be wondering why not use a tunnel directly? Well, the idea is to make the dog enter the tunnel without being able to see the end, while he runs through it the fabric will open and he will eventually get out at the other side of the tunnel. This is prepared to test how the dog reacts when he has to enter the tunnel and he cannot see the way out. The most common ones are the ones outlined by USDAA, NADAC and AKC, all training associations. Nylon and other synthetic materials are among the ones you can find in the market. They are put up really easily and they do not need maintenance whatsoever. Most chutes available come with a book of instructions for you to understand and apply to the rules of this wonderful sport. |
